Cider lovers, this one’s for you. The first-ever Similkameen Cider and Music Festival is popping tops and turning up the tunes on Sunday, June 1 at Klippers Organic Acres in Cawston — home to Row Fourteen Restaurant and Untangled Craft Cider. It’s set to be a sun-drenched afternoon of orchard vibes, crisp pours, good food and live music under the open sky.
Guests will be sipping cider flights and craft brews from producers across British Columbia, with food trucks serving local fare and a community artisan market bringing handcrafted goods and a touch of festival flair. The live music lineup includes Juno Award winner and nominee Kuba Oms, along with Mad Riddim, Mary Ancheta, Alex Flock and Tristan Telle, setting the rhythm for a laid-back afternoon among the fruit trees.
Whether you’re coming for the cider, the music or just a great day out in the Similkameen Valley, this festival strikes the right balance between relaxed and celebratory. The event takes place on the working organic farm at Klippers, surrounded by mountain views and orchard rows — a perfect kickoff to summer in one of BC’s most scenic valleys.
Grape Savvy Wine Tours is offering a VIP trolley ride from Penticton, and Corks & Cactus Tours has a shuttle from Osoyoos, making it easy to enjoy the afternoon without worrying about the drive. Tickets start at $53.52 on Eventbrite, with transportation available as an add-on at checkout.
It’s a fresh reason to head to Cawston, B.C., and a new festival that’s already earned a spot on our summer must-sip list.
