Fall has arrived at Arrowleaf Cellars in the Central Okanagan, and with it the spotlight turns to something quietly spectacular: their library wine vault. It’s that rare occasion when the doors swing open, and you get your hands on bottles that have been patiently ageing, maybe even tucked away for years, waiting for this moment.
Set in the rolling hills of Lake Country (just north of Kelowna, B.C.), Arrowleaf Cellars is a family-owned winery that humbly earns its keep. Born from Swiss roots, the Zuppiger family establishing the estate in 2003. Today, Arrowleaf manages 30 acres of vineyard with an additional 20 acres farmed by growers. In a good year, they bottle about 16,000 cases a year, balancing familiar favourites like Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir with small-batch experiments keeping each vintage worth the wait.
The vault opens Friday, October 26 at 12 noon PDT, exclusively online at arrowleafcellars.com. That means no physical line-up at the door, but the challenge of hitting “purchase” the moment it goes live. Expect best-sellers that are gone from shelves, vintage verticals and special bottles that haven’t surfaced in years.
What makes this special is how quietly it speaks of time. These wines have patience built in—meant to rest, to gather depth, to be opened when the moment calls for something lasting. Each bottle holds a chapter of Arrowleaf’s story, a glimpse of how Lake Country’s light and seasons shape what’s in the glass. Whether you’re tucking one away or gifting it forward, this is less about collecting and more about connection—to craft, to place, to memory.
